If only they made the older (PERFECTLY WORKING!) versions available. Now, imagine if I got a SECOND job (The console port) and started to no call/no show my first job, and when asked about it, said "Oh I got school, man!"Īnd the testing branch is cool I guess. I'm in school now, with a full time job, and I manage. That may have been viable back when they first broke the game, and this console port info wasn't about. They have been busy with the console port, quoting them from the forum post on that one.Īnd fuck off with the "They are in college!" fanboy response. Those only say they've begun working on the PC version again. They aren't just busy with the console port if you've read my other posts down below.Īll I'm seeing are the twitter posts. Site me one time when a game like that was unplayable for nearly half a year with zero word from the devs, just to have them return to say "Sorry! Been busy cashing in on consoles! We'll fix it now I guess maybe. Tons of mainstream games do this! League of Legends, World of Warcraft, etc. I really wouldn't, a quick look at my steam list or post history will show you that I havce plenty of early access titles I recommend one of my favorite games is DayZ for crying out loud. Keeping it in 'early access' hell wouldn't do it any good because you would -still- be complaining about bugs like this and how they hardly ever update the game In a way, they're admitting that they're too busy but also need tons of help because they're in the last (and most important) year of college before they move on with their lives and potentially make Risk of Rain and other games a full time thing for them! They aren't just busy with the console port if you've read my other posts down below. It's actually a really awesome thing that they are now having their fans help them out. They're using their customers and fans to help find new/more bugs for their game so that they can make it even bigger and better for when 1.2.5 comes out. They already have bugs and stability being slowly worked out in this patch of the test branch. Keeping it in 'early access' hell wouldn't do it any good because you would -still- be complaining about bugs like this and how they hardly ever update the game (in fact, the fact that its early access and barely gets updates is actually a red flag in itself for a lot of people these days).īut you have to understand, thats why they have opened up the ability to do this test branch. I think you tend to forget: This game was made by 2-4 guys who are knee deep in the middle of college. You have to right click your game in your library > Properties > Betas > Type password > Use dropdown menu there to opt into the beta.
